Briella, Edmund and Alyssa had grown up together in Valtheris, the three had been inseparable since childhood. When the war broke out Briella has fled along with her family while Alyssa and her twin brother Edmund stayed back to defend their people until the others made it out safe.

Centuries have passed and it's finally safe for the Fae to return from the Twilight Court. The trio had signed up to be among the first to return. None knew what to expect from the mortal realm, but they were prepared for anything. Each with a bag on their shoulder they began to open one of the many portals to the mortal realm.

The portal opening caused a Jewel that had once been guarded by the Night Shade pack to begin glowing. A beam of light spread from the Gem and where it cast on the ground the trio appeared. Briella stood calmly while the twins were arguing amongst themselves. Realising they had appeared in front of someone the twins stopped their bickering and turned to the woman before them.

Edmund stepped forward flashing a smile "hello mortal, you can call me Edmund" he bowed politely using the human name he had chosen centuries ago to introduce himself, a Fae's name held power after all, they couldn't go around giving their true name to just anyone.

He looked the girl up and down calmly "I see the fashion has evolved quite a bit since we left" he smirked turning to his sister "good news Lyss, no corsets" he chuckled softly remembering his sister's problems with mortal fashion.

Alyssa rolled her eyes as she looked at her brother "about time, those things were impossible to fight in" she stepped forward smiling to the girl as she held out her hand "ignore my idiot of a brother, you can refer to me as Alyssa, and that lovely girl there is our friend, she goes by Briella" she smiled as she nodded over to Briella before turning back to the girl looking her up and down curiously.

She spotted the Jewel in the girl's hand and smiled "oh you're the guardian of the Jewel, fantastic, that means you must know of the Fae" she laughed softly "this means all of this should be far less shocking for you than most, you see it's been a few centuries since we left, so anyone who had been exposed to our kind, other than a handful of undead is likely gone by now" she spoke matter of factly as if watching mortals die was nothing to her, and really it had been.

The three were centuries old at this point, they had watched many mortal creatures pass during that time. They became fairly immune to the through of their mortal friends passing while they remained youthful in appearance.

For centuries now the Night Shade pack were protectors in many ways, a strong alliance to many within the Lycan community for the pack had many born into their abilities as wielders which made them sought after alone. Many battles apart of, important to all whom existed within Valtheris.

Joining countless battles in the Lycanthro Vale, securing their co-existence among one another, the defenses for the Fae from the Twilight Court, treaties made with other factions to greater the needs of themselves.

Having grown up with stories of all walks, one her mother enjoyed telling her was the beauty of the Fae realm and their living. Her mother having dealings with them prior, a spokesperson.

Her parents had unfortunately died at the age of 18.

The young Delta, wise beyond her years and at that point had risen within her pack in countless ways that made her a fitting guardian to both her kind and the potential to the Fae folk if they were ever to return.

Emmeral's knowledge passed down responsibility which was represented within an heirloom of a ring that she rarely took off - Only in knowing that it was a dormant communication device between her pack and the Fae folk.

Unfortunately, when the Night Shade pack fell to a chaotic pack of dark magic plagued rogues, so had the placing of the ring that was taken care of for decades.

Emmeral was still gathering her barrings within Eboncrest. Needing to seek a sense of familiarity as she was permitted to return to her former packs landing that now laid in disarray with escorts. A pack fallen, most had died besides a handful that Emmeral aided in seeking salvation to another pack, some had followed to form a new alliance within the FrostClaw Kin, their most aligned pack and even moreso as Emmeral and Thorian were fated mates.

Rummaging through the destroyed scenery before her, green orbs scanned for nothing in particular - The haunting sounds of her packs battle darkened within her thoughts. As she allowed grief to strike her within the chest.

Some time had passed as Emmeral explored the fallen kingdom, within the distance of the former sparring grounds, spotting the piece of jewelry she had prior before a beam of light struck the ground. 3 individuals appearing magically.

Their presence stood out from the char and rubble to 2 of them bickering.

With a furrowed brow Emmeral watched on as confusion settled to knit between her brows as the small blonde gestured her presence and the arguing 2 turned in her direction. Their scents indescribably sweet as they seemingly oozed the sun in their brightness.

Further confusion as statement over fashion was a thing of the past to corsets and dresses, Emmeral peering down to her casual attire before those of her escorts hurried forward to protect.

"No need" Emmeral commanded, their divided expressions on who to follow as Thorian ordered them to protect and watch over her at all costs. Before anything unnecessarily arose Emmy spoke over her shoulder "Let Alpha Thalric know the Fae have returned" well within her abilities to mind-link him herself but was best to converse of current.

Returning towards the trio before her as she eyed them over, their language native to hers as they addressed acknowledge to the piece of jewelry now in her hand which was a gateway for the Fae to access and return to a point in Valtheris.

Their names in introduction surprised her but seemingly would be wasted as seemingly her possession of the gem was enough, recalling their names from stories she was told as a child "Pleasure...." Emmeral surprised before adding her own introduction "Emmeral Langely. Formerly of the Night Shade pack and guardian of the Fae Realm..." her former titles saddened before adding "Queen of wolves and Luna to the FrostClaw Kin."

Acknowledging the Fae lore as she spoke up "Yes, the former Guardian Gwendolyn Langley has unfortunately passed. I had learned of your history since I was a pup. Welcome back Edmund, Alyssa and Briella. You have missed much within Valtheris."

Alyssa looked at the woman smiling kindly “it’s been so long since our kind was last here I’m sure none of the mortals we knew back then would still be around” she waved it off laughing softly “we had received word it was finally safe to come back so we offered to be among the first to return” she laughed softly looking at the girl curiously.

The three had always wondered if the mortals told stories of the fae and more importantly the type of stories they were told.

Briella stepped forward looking at the girl “what have you been told about our kind?” her question was blunt as she crossed her arms over her chest. She wanted to know just how well the wolves had educated future generations on their kind while they were gone.

The twins stood behind Briella laughing softly. Edmund nudged the girl playfully “chill out Bree, this is the first time she’s met one of us” Edmund was aware of the reputation their kind had over the years.

The Fae were a tricky bunch, powerful in their own right. They could easily be your greatest ally or worst nightmare, and that could change quickly depending on their mood. Seemingly ageless beings none would suspect the three standing there had been around for centuries, though still among their own kind they were considered quite young.

Alyssa looked at the two guards the woman had sent away “your energy suggests you are quite the fighter yourself, yet your Alpha sent you here with guards?” there wasn’t any judgement in her tone, more a curiosity. She had been close with the wolves in their area back before they left, normally the fighters weren’t protected, that was saved for the other members who couldn’t defend themselves.

Edmund rolled his eyes a little “she said she was Queen of her pack, that likely comes with a security detail” he chuckled softly. He looked around slightly, sensing that something was off “a dark energy was here, it was in recent years too, it’s left a stain in the earth” his voice sounded more like he was thinking out loud as he looked at the destruction around them. He pointed off towards the trees “we used to live over there, there was a village just for the Fae, we would train with the pack since we didn’t really have the facilities to train in the village” he chuckled softly at the memory “back then they resisted females being trained to fight, Lyss here quickly put them in their place about that” he nodded to his sister smiling.

Alyssa laughed at her brother’s memory “took down half of their strongest warriors single handedly, and in a dress” she smirked a little shaking her head “tried telling me a lady’s place wasn’t on the battlefield”

The three laughed fondly at their memories from centuries ago. It was clear at least to the three of them the Night Shade pack had been more than just guardians of the portal. They had been close to the pack back then though they weren’t at all surprised the people they had known were gone. But the clear destruction that had happened here brought an unsettling feeling to their chest.

Briella looked at Emmeral calmly “your ancestors helped defend us the night we had to flee, many of our kin owe them our lives” she placed her hand over her heart smiling kindly “I was nearly killed that night, but one of the pack’s warriors got to me before it was too late” she moved her hand to her hair shifting it to show a scar on the back of her neck as if to prove the truth in her words. She was sure stories of Fae being tricksters or manipulating people were often told, and she was sure at least a few of those warnings would have survived the years between them.

Alyssa nodded slightly at Briella’s words “we would have lost a lot more people that night if they hadn’t helped, we only asked they assisted in opening a gateway to our world, but soon their men were in the village helping us escape, some even in wolf form carrying children or the elderly on their backs to get them to safety”

The 3 harbouring different personalities, a flip of a coin on which would speak in what regard as Emmeral's statement to the fallen pack was of blank disregard, making her chew the inside of her lip having deep roots to them and the shrug of life casual in spoken word.

Biting her emotional tethering Emmeral addressed politetly none the less "Well, let me be the first to welcome you back to the land of Valtheris"

Green hues shifted towards a woman whose aura seemed walled, her interest of stories casual but her crossed arms defensive. Allowing the male to speak before she spoke up "Stories that are not fit to recall within the remains of my family. Maybe another time storytelling can be exchanged."

Seeing Briella the most cautious, with no surprise if she had been distant due to past battles, not that Emmeral could blame her as the loss of land, safety, alliances and lives were very fresh to her own situation. No amount of time would change the hardships the Fae had gone through or the wolves currently.

Shifted attention towards the guards and enquiry to their means addressed as Edmund sensed the darkness that plagued in aftermath to their current standings "You lay in the wasted lands of my former pack of which had fallen mere weeks ago. I killed as many as I could in aiding as many of my people to flee against rogues tainted by dark magic within them" her fingertips swirled in her shadows in display before retreating them, her words bit of pain and anger despite the appeared strength Emmeral held, there was unfinished business "My life was a Delta here, our goddess gifted my sacrifice with new life, with that renewed means" her eyes shifted an amethyst before returning to green "The guards importance is mere desires of the King of wolves in comforted thought in his absence by my side and if need be than means of being protected. Our species is still under attack in various territories."

Emmeral raised a brow as female fighters were always encouraged, although that was in place when Gideon's father ruled as noone should be restricted to certain duties within a pack. Made them better. Stronger. The Night Shades the largest magical wielding werewolves in all of Valtheris, now but a few remained to renew their lives in the surrounding packs they fled to "Well, I am glad that is no longer tradition. Glad you helped pave the way that a woman is no limited." smiling softly.

Seemingly a repeated effect occurred from their fleeing, The Night Shades had helped them within the community and remain in existence "Well, maybe what happened here is what was able to bring you back through here" a sorrowed expression to Emmeral's features as she peered at the scar to Briella's neck, Emmeral was lucky her scars no longer visible wounds from Thorian's aid otherwise she'd hold many from her attackings if that was the case "I am sorry you went through that but am glad you are well and beginning to thrive again. Even though you were not wolves, you would of been protected even as though you were" smiling softly before she added "Although the Night Shade's have fallen, I still remain and I extend your alliance in continued protection by myself within the FrostClaw Kin."
