It had been years since she’s been back here. This was her first home when she came to Valtheris. Crimson Peaks. A place where vampires lived in harmony with one another. Or at least that’s what she thought. The place hadn’t changed much. The aura and energy about this place had remained unchanged and somehow, growing accustomed to the mortal realm — it made this place feel a little bit more… eerie.

Well, that didn’t matter much, she was here for work. And once she was done, she’d be making her way back to the mortal realm to be with those she called her friends. Carefully pulling her suitcase behind her, she greeted the woman at the check in desk and gave her her name. Nadia assured the woman that she would probably be here for a few days instead of the week that she booked instead. Mmm, was it the fact that she missed her friends? Or… did the bad memories weigh on her mind and heart a little heavier than she expected them too?

Crimson Peaks was the first place her ex-boyfriend, Declan had found her at. The sun shone at a different hue here, allowing vampires to step into the daylight anytime they pleased and not burn into a crisp. But that day he found her, she wished she could’ve stepped out her door and turned into ash. After leaving her past behind though, Nadia thought that would’ve been it. She swore she was never coming back.

But duty calls.

After getting settled into her room, Nadia wasted no time getting ready. She figured, the sooner she got in there and handled her business, the sooner she would leave, collect her earnings and go back home to her penthouse in the mortal realm. So, she straightened her hair, painted her nails in a black and red ombré. Applied some eyeliner to her eyes and a thin layer of lipgloss. Vampirism had only enhanced her features and her imperfections had become none. So, she didn’t need to fret over throwing on make up by the pound. Hers were as natural as could be.

Nadia got dressed into her gown, put on her diamonds and gems to flaunt her wealth a little. Black and red high heels and a non-traditional black and red veil that she bore atop her head as if it were a crown instead. In a way, she felt like she was being a little more extra. But she was a princess! She deserved all the big diamonds and the large and lavish dresses. Her potential to have more was cut short when her parents were murdered. So she made due in the present time.

The sun long since set and the creatures of the night began to make their way towards the citadel that stood intimidatingly tall, in the middle of the realm. With it’s height disappearing into the clouds, legend says that no one had ever traveled that high. And that heaven waited at the very tip of the place. Something about that was extremely haunting to Nadia. Having being so close to death… but yet so far, she never got experience what it was like to be in heaven… and if she ever will. Only.. hell and here.

Luna had taken her place in the sky, all big and majestic and full. She did bring a particular kind of comfort to Nadia. Even though, folks around her would flip into an unpredicted frenzy.

The door to her limo was pulled open and to her surprise, flashing lights blinded the woman. Being that Nadia was favored and very popular by society standards, she was always going to stick out like a sore thumb. After all, she did have romantic dealings with one of the rulers in hell once upon a time. But it was so long ago, she thought she’d be able to operate in the shadows the way she wanted. So that meant… she had to be careful when it came to her job tonight. Too many eyes would become a very big problem.

Nadine had taken a handful of photos for the paps. And with the smell in the air, it told her that everyone from every realm was here for this event. It was private, the big wigs from each sector would attend to simply show face and ensure peaceful treaties. And then, there was her. A woman who hadnt even had that particular kind of power in 30 years.

Walking into the large venue, she took note of all the voices around her. Listening closely for any clues for the particular person she was searching for. She knew his name, Apollo Theseus. The Demon Ruler that reigned over the rest of hell’s leaders. During her time with Braxton, she had never met him. Only the people in his council that helped him rule his sector of hell. But never had she seen his face. They said that he was tall… extremely fit with eyes that could pierce your soul if you had one. And a smile that could set one’s heart ablaze. Too bad her heart was broken and her soul had been extinguished.

Running into her tonight… would be very unlucky for him.

She wore a holster around her upper thigh, tucked in it’s sheath was a demon dagger. One that she’d used on multiple occasions when she went rogue all those years ago. She kept it nice and sharp so striking the killing blow wouldn’t require her to work as hard.

After searching the crowd with her eyes and ears, she’d finally given up and grew very frustrated. ‘He’s here. I know he’s here! Where is he?’ She hissed as she stormed off towards the bar and climbed her little frame into the tall stool. Taking a deep breath, she ordered a simple O Positive with a shot of gin. Nadia needed to ease her nerves.

Knocking back her drink, she did one final glance through the room. And who she saw… the man she saw wasn’t like any other man she’d ever seen. He was tall, with luscious white hair that stopped just a little past his shoulders. His eyes, golden like the sun. His smile was hauntingly beautiful. Nadia was so flabbergasted, she could almost bite her damn tongue off! For once in her life, she felt so unworthy to be in someone’s presence! His aura was liberating and intense and—

wait…

Before her brain could grow bold enough to come to it’s senses… he’d looked up directly at her from across the ballroom. Holding her crystal glass in her small palm, she lost control of herself, squeezing the glass so tightly, it shattered in her palm. A few people looked in her direction to see what the commotion was about but she quickly tried to get herself cleaned up. God, never had she been so damn embarrassed in her entire fucking life. If he was the man she was here on the hunt for, she needed to get her shit together and fast before anyone figured out her plan.

They would hesitate to kill her and this time… she’d stay dead for good.

"Earth...." Apollo muttered. "To appear within the realms of humans the land of where my mother had bore me and i ended everything for her." he shuddered with a harsh memory of his father cursing his name. "To go back there will be harder than what I want it to be considering I haven't been there since the night of my birth." he said out loud. He knew that it would be a new era with new people but still his two human parents had a child of what they saw was fit for darkness. The First Demon. The bringer of Death and Destruction to the Human world by his father's opinion. He had to brush that part of his life off because being an orphan didn't matter since he was here on business. A meeting between the species to ensure all was going safely.

Apollo sat upon his throne in Cinderstone Bastion's Higher Demon Grounds. He turned to the next in highest ranking. "You make sure nothing too chaotic goes on here while I am in the meeting on Earth and make sure NO ONE steps a toe out of line when it comes to my affairs." He snarled. He usually dealt with the hierarchy of misunderstood demons and those who weren't abiding by the laws. The demon next to him nodded as he got up and went onto his Hellion Bike to exceed onto Earth. It only came out when he had to transfer realms since it had the horsepower and torque to handle different realms requirements.

He took a handful of the gravel beneath his feet the was somewhat burned from the molten lava then dropped it down. He always got homesick when he left here but it was with good purpose and he always came back. He couldn't wait til the meeting was hosted here once more since he felt most comfortable here and made sure that each Head of the species (or ones in their place) had a little piece of home there in the meeting room there for them. It took hours to perfect but he managed.

Once he had arrived he sat in the assigned room they had for him which wasn't as homey as he had hoped but it was better than nothing at all. He sighed as he looked around trying to see if his upbringing was different would he find this place still home? Always a thought he pondered would he had ever thought of this place to be the origin of Apollo. He shook his head uncomfortable even with the sheer idea of staying here on a permanent basis. It wasn't nearly as warm here which always was an issue when he traveled. Not one place stayed comfortable to him when it came to the climate. This time though he came better prepared and used his powers that were unseen to heighten his body temperature to keep comfortable at least to the lengths that wouldn't cause any damage to the land before him. He then remembered he couldn't show his full demonic look so he had use the trick he new to adapt more to human like features with his eyes at least. He stayed in his formal wear which wasn't too far off from his usual and carried his hunting sword for deer and such while he was here on Earth.

Apollo kept his pet hell hound hidden at most times since he knew that the White Demon Wolf would cause some trouble amongst the Earthlings so he had her cloaked using one of his many powers. She stood next to his side completely comfortable and at peace. Wherever he was she was find beside him.

He was impressed with how some had chosen to arrive much in style he presumed since he saw a particular woman exit a very expensive automotive that looked quiet luxurious. He wasn't as familiar with things on Earth like he should have been but it pained him enough being here. Any distraction was good enough to keep him out of his head which was probably best. No one wants to encounter a disgruntled uncomfortable Demon. He took his social spot in the crowd as he sipped his mead since that's the closest thing they had to his regular home consumables. He listened with his heightened senses as he enjoyed the drink further surveying the crowd seeing who was who. Little did he know he caught the one young lady's eye that had caught his earlier this evening,

He walked through the crowd once he realized he had already demolished the mead he was about to take another drink of. How did they drink so little here? He wouldn't be going back for a second just yet but maybe that's because they had a lower tolerance here. He pondered the menu as he couldn't help but be distracted by the beauty that had just passed him. Her smell attracted him more than anything but he had to keep calm and focus on the task at hand not to show his True Demonic side. His golden eyes had gone black as he heard her order. She was from the land of the Vampires commonly known as Crimson Peaks. The bartender eyed him once more reminding him he was in the middle of ordering something. Apollo looked back to the bartender. "Whatever you have that is stronger than this." he said putting his glass of mead down. He got his glass refilled and tried to not stare. She was beautiful and he couldn't help it something about her was alluring and he couldn't help but to be drawn in towards her. Once he heard he glass shatter he knew she would need another drink especially since it was such a long night ahead of the species leaders. "Also whatever she had give her another one on me." he spoke with his accented deep tone.
