Before the fae fled Briella had a small fling with a vampire. It had been a secret romance only her closest of friends were aware of. But that was centuries ago. Now they were back from the twilight court. Briella was no longer the young princess he had known. She was the leader of the Shadow Court and that meant she had to be far more serious about her actions. But she couldn’t help wondering if he had survived the years. If he even remembered her.

She sat in the small village she had grown up in, she had rebuilt it, brought back her court so they may operate within Valtheris once more. She was sat in the main hall when a scout came into the room bowing to her.

“Ma’am there is an intruder by the north gate”

Briella jumped to her feet, her two friends by her side, they were basically her personal guards at this point, not that she couldn’t handle a battle herself, more that it meant she could keep her most trusted friends close to her. She approached the northern gate and smiled as a familiar energy hung in the air “well well, look who finally discovered our return”

She raised her hand signalling for the others to leave as she slowly stepped towards the forest edge. The darkness had grown stronger over the years, far from the fledgling she once knew, now was powerful. She couldn’t help but find that more tempting.

She approached him her appearance barely having changed over the years due to the slow aging of the fae “Jaeheon don’t hide from me” her voice was playful as she scanned the shadows, though she was still prepared to battle in case he had changed since they last met.

Briella finally spotted the figure lurking in the shadows and raised her hand throwing an orb of light between them so she could see him clearly “no need to lurk in the shadows, I sent the others away” she walked over to him calmly. Reaching up she placed her hand on his face “I had hoped you would find me, I couldn’t go looking for you not with what I had to rebuild” she nodded toward the village a small smile on her face “turns out when you abandon a place for centuries it doesn’t exactly stay in good condition, though upgrading it to the modern world has been interesting” she laughed slightly as she thought about it.

The concept of electricity was still new when they had left, now she was back and everything had changed. There was so much she had to learn about the mortal realm, and now with Jaeheon back a part of her hoped he would be there to teach her.
